April Events in Boise
As spring blooms in Boise, the community comes alive with a variety of exciting events and activities. From farmers markets opening back up to beer festivals and hockey games, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Join us as we explore the diverse events happening throughout Boise this April, all sure to give memorable experiences and plenty of chances to embrace the spirit of spring.
Every Wednesday this month from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. JUMP is hosting Yoga on the Lawn. This class is free for everybody and is fit for a range of skill levels, from beginners to experienced yogis. Led by Debbi Murphy, who has been leading adult wellness programs for over 40 years, these classes are a great way to get active within the community. Yoga on the Lawn will be moved indoors if the weather does not allow outdoor activities.
April 3rd, 5th & 6th, Steelheads Games
The Idaho Steelheads are a minor league hockey team based in Boise, Idaho. They have three games in the beginning of April that make a great evening activity for sports lovers. Games start at 7:10 p.m. in downtown Boise at Idaho Central Arena and tickets can be found here. Steelheads games have a fun and exciting atmosphere that kids and hockey lovers are sure to enjoy!
First Thursday in downtown Boise is back on April 4th this month! This event features local businesses with various in-store events, including food and beverage tastings, local art exhibits, retail trunk shows, live music, family activities, and entertainment. These events typically run from 5-9 p.m., so head on down to Downtown and take a walk around this fun exhibition of local businesses!
Monster Jam is the most action-packed motorsports event on four wheels. At the event, you will witness world-class driver athletes and the most recognizable trucks tear up the dirt and compete in intense competitions of speed and skill.
April 11th, Earth Day Family Night Out at Zoo Boise
Celebrate Mother Earth at Zoo Boise! We're excited to open the zoo for families to explore after hours with a guided tour, animal artifacts, Earth Day activities, and opportunities to meet our animal ambassadors. (Plus, see which animals come out to 'party' at twilight!) $8 per person.
April 13th, Capitol City Public Market Opening Weekend
The Capitol City Public Market is back this spring on April 13th. This local market focuses on pre-made food, art, and locally-grown produce. It takes place at the Grove Plaza on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and is the perfect weekend morning activity! The Boise Farmers Market is also opening back up in April, and you can find it every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1500 Shoreline Drive. This market features local farmers, butchers, and baked goods among other items.
April 19th-20th, ShadeCity Brewfest
Presented by Lost Grove Brewing and the Idaho Botanical Garden, this festival is a celebration of Boise’s beer scene. Held at the Idaho Botanical Gardens, this event has a groovy 70s theme with a strong focus on waste reduction and sustainability (make sure to bring your own cup!). Tickets are now on sale and include an all-you-can-drink beer ticket and access to the gardens and live music. This event is 21+ and single-day tickets are $45.
April 27th, Mummies of the World: The Exhibition
Featuring one of the largest collections of real mummies and related artifacts ever assembled, Mummies of the World presents a one-of-a-kind collection of naturally and intentionally preserved human and animal mummies. This compelling exhibition, presented with reverence and dignity, includes ancient mummies from South America, Europe and ancient Egypt, some dating back thousands of years.
April 27th, Boise Fashion Week Fundraiser Gala
